Stella Louise Smith, 75 of Athens, AL died Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Limestone Nursing & Rehab.

She was born August 23, 1948 in Athens, AL was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and retired from Wal-Mart.

Services will be Wednesday, 1 PM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6-9 pm at Spry Funeral Home.

Survivors include, Daughter, Ginger Lane of Rogersville, AL, Sons, Patrick Smith of Athens, AL, Cory Smith of Huntsville, AL, Brothers, Joe Baldwin of Athens, AL, David Baldwin of Athens, AL, Sister, Peggy Welch of Athens, AL, 6 Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, James Baldwin, Lynn Baldwin, Thomas Dollman, Wesley Harrison, Timmy Cline.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Patrick Smith, Austin Smith & Hunter Smith.

I will always remember Dee as such a caring and devoting person. She came into my life when she married my father Garland, when I was twelve years old. I know that she enhanced my father's life greatly and together, they were a complete couple. Over the years I visited Dee and my father in Alabama, I was fortunate to see their relationship grow and see what a comfort Dee was to my father. It was also wonderful for me to see Dee's relationship with Kayla grow over the years from a little beauty queen to a caring and devoted mother to her children and granddaughter to her Nana.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who loved and cared for Dee, for she will be missed.
