Joyce Ann Hill, 78 of Athens, went peacefully to be
with Jesus and Leonard Hill on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the home of Marcus
and Jeal surrounded by family.
Joyce was born in Limestone County on October
25, 1945 to Elmer and Mary Lou (Barnes) Moss.
There will be a Celebration of
Life Service Friday 2PM at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Marcus Hill and
Shane McConnell officiating. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation is 6PM
until 9PM Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Joyce was a loving Mother, Mother-in-love,
Meme, Aunt, Sister and a friend to many. Above all she loved God and sharing
Him with everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Saturday Date
Nights with Barbara, Mitch and Royce. She loved her “Hardee’s Family” and made
many memories eating breakfast every morning. She enjoyed hearing her son,
Marcus preach God’s Word and always supported him and loved going to Gospel
Singings.
Survivors: Son, Marcus (Jeal) Hill. Daughter, Barbara (Mitchell)
Putty. Grandson, Wesley (Bailee) Putty. Granddaughter, Whitney (Joshua)
Brookhart. Great Grandchildren, Carson Putty, Eleanor Putty and Maggie Rieger.
Brother, Jimmy (Peggy) Moss. Special friend, Royce Waddell. Several Nieces and
Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Husband of 47 years, Leonard Hill. Brothers,
Billy Moss and Danny Moss. Sisters, Bernice Blakely, Jean Cox and Rosie May
Moss.
Pallbearers: Randy Moss, Jason Barnes, Parker McCurry, Alex Lankford,
Tommy Lassiter, John Venton and Royce Waddell
