Johnnie Washington Clinard Sr. age 71 of Athens died Friday
at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Mr. Clinard was born September 27, 1948 in
Limestone County, he was retired from Martin Stove, and of the Baptist faith.
Services will be 11 am Thursday in the chapel of Spry
Funeral Home with Doug Colwell and Marshall Norman officiating, burial to
follow in the Dobbins Cemetery in Appleton, Tennessee.
Survivors include. Wife, Sara R. Clinard of Athens.
Son, Gerald linard of Athens.
Grandchildren, Sara Ann Justice of Oklahoma, and Jonathon
Charles Clinard of Athens.
Great Grandson, John Jeremy Justice.
Brother, Robert Allen Clinard of Elkmont.
Half Sister, Nettie Mae Nolan of Bonnertown, Tennessee.
Several Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by, Parents, Willie and Myrtle Clinard
Son, John - John Clinard
Daughter, Elizabeth Alvean Clinard.
Brother, Gerald D. Jernigan
Sister, Willie Christine Long.

Some of my most favorite childhood memories are the times I spent at Uncle Larry's and Aunt Shirley's house with my cousins, Rhonda and Michael. I will forever hold these memories in my heart! My heart is breaking now for my extended family as they lay their precious Mother to rest. My heartfelt prayers go out to you all, and I pray that God wraps you in His arms to help you find comfort and peace in Him, our Lord and Savior.
