George Will Amerson, age 84 of Athens died Saturday at Athens Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Amerson was born August 26, 1934 in Limestone County, a retired truck driver and a member of Sandlin Road church of Christ.

Services will be 4 pm Monday August 12, 2019 in Chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Shawn Amerson officiating, burial to follow in Myers Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 pm until service time at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be, Doug Butler, Bobby Joe Thorpe, Michael Tucker, Daniel Tucker, Stacey Carter, Shawn Amerson, Wesley Tucker, and Dylan Tucker.

Survivors include, Daughters, Donna (Bobby Joe) Williams of Rogersville. Tina Amerson of Athens. Brothers, Hubert Amerson of Elkmont. Tommy Amerson and Ricky Amerson both of Athens. Sisters, Patricia Reece of Birmingham. Lucille Blackwell and Mary Webb both of Athens. Ten Grandchildren. Fourteen Great Grandchildren. Three Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces ad Nephews.

Mr. Amerson was preceded in death by, Wife, Mary Amerson. Son, George E. Amerson. Daughter, Rhonda Mitchell.

WITH deepest condolences to Jim's family, Jim and I became friends over this past year, He was the sweetest man, I will miss our conversations and the laughter. RIP, my friend , Hes with his love now. Heaven has gained a angel.
