Reba Herston Snoddy, 87 of Huntsville, died Friday at Huntsville Hospital.

Services will be 3pm Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, burial in Harvey Cemetery in Rogersville, visitation is from 1pm until 3pm Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.

Great Nephews will be pallbearers. Mrs. Snoddy was born June 6, 1932 in Lauderdale County.

She was a member of Jordan Park Church of Christ. Survivors: Husband of 70 years: Lowell G. Snoddy of Huntsville, Daughter: Gwenda Snoddy of Huntsville, Son: Steven Snoddy of Nashville, Grandson: Kevin Snoddy and Craig Snoddy of Nashville, Tennessee, Sisters: Marie Roberson (Jimmie) of Rogersville and Blanche White (Roland) of Rogersville, Brother-in-Law: Donnie Mason (Martha) of Rogersville, Sister/Cousin: Louise Stevenson of Birmingham. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents: Roy Herston and Irene Kelley Herston, Sister: Kay Mason, Brother, Jim Herston.

I worked with Lee for several years at Cooking Light magazine. He was always so passionate about his work as a photographer and was always looking for new ways to make it better, which made him a stellar photographer. The surprise news of his death greatly saddens me.

I'm terribly sorry to hear we lost Lee. He was a remarkable photographer and a friend at Southern Living. I just heard the news and missed out on attending the services. My deepest sympathies to the family and those who loved him.

I just heard that Lee passed away. I am so sorry for you, Diane, and all of his family and friends. It was my pleasure to represent Lee after he left Southern Living. He was a joy to work with, so talented and always delivered magnificent work, and I am so saddened to hear this news. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Lee while working at Southern Living in the 80's-90's. An amazingly talented photographer, and a truly fine human being. He will be greatly missed.
