George Howard, 74 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Services 2pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, burial in Higgins Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12noon until service Friday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard was born March 9, 1947 in Alabama.

Survivors: Sons: Tim Howard of Athens and Anthony Howard of Athens; Daughters: Trish Carlton of Harvest, Tammy Howard of Athens and Ashley Randolph of Athens; Brother: James Glenn Howard of Athens; Ten Grandchildren; One Great Grandson.

She left a wonderful Sunday spread for food. Such a welcoming person. I'm grateful to have known her in her last days.
