Betty
Jean Pennington, 82 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at her
residence.
There will be a 3PM Graveside Service Monday at Sunnyhill Cemetery.
No Visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.
Mrs.
Pennington was born July 7, 1939 in Limestone County and she was a member of
Tanner Baptist Church.
Survivors: Daughters: Sherry Bridges and husband Kent of
Athens & Tammy Bean of Athens; Sister: Diane Bates and husband David of
Athens; Five Grandchildren; Two Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by:
Parents: J.D. and Mellie Carter; Husbands: David Foster and Dr. Bill
Pennington; Son: Charles (Duke) Foster; Son-in-Law: Chris Bean; Brother: Jim Ed
Carter.

I'm really late with this I just now found that my friend and cousin Betty Jean has passed away. I didn't get to visit with her very often, but when I did get down to Alabama, we always had a good time during our visits. God Bless you Betty. You Are Missed!!!! Your friend dan
