Cherry Lee Ward
Yeager age 87 of Athens died Monday at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Mrs. Yeager
was born October 21, 1934 in Giles County Tennessee. She was a longtime member
of First Baptist Church Athens where she sang in the chrior, and was active in
the WMU. Mrs. Yeager was a Red Cross volunteer at Athens Limestone
Hospital, a longtime employee of Athens Pharmacy and was retired from Giles
County Hospital as the medical records director.
Services will
be 11 am Thursday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Joe Teal officiating,
burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in Rogersville. Visitation will be
Wednesday from 6- 8 pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers
will be, Charlie Bates, Tom Jones, Rick Jones, Josh Jones, Tim Yeager and Terry
Weaver. Donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
Survivors:
Daughters, Connie (Ronnie) Bates of Athens. Jeanie Yeager of Athens. Sons,
Phillip Dale Yeager of Lakefield, Minnesota. Charles Howard Hal (Teann) Yeager
of Birmingham.
Grandchildren,
Eric Dale Gentle (Erin) Yeager. Meagan Yeager, Brook Bates (Sam) Moates, Bess
(Daniel) Shannon, Charlie Bates, Michelle Yeager, Katie (Kelly) Rushing,
Paulina (Ryan) Mullins and Rachel (Adam) Cooner. Eleven Great Grandchildren.
Sisters, Edith Jones of League City, Texas. Jan Sleiger of Cleveland,
Tennessee. Brother, Joel Ward of Americus, Georgia. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Special friend and caregiver Jaimee Abernathy.
Mrs. Yeager was preceded
in death by her Husband, Charles Lindberg Yeager. Brother, Elmer Dean Ward.
