Carol Fay Hardy, 68 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her residence.

Ms. Hardy was born March 18, 1953 in Macon, Georgia, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens. She was a graduate of Athens High School, she attended Athens College, graduated of Utah State University. Ms. Hardy was a special needs teacher in Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Georgia and Alabama.

There will be a 1pm Memorial Graveside Service Sunday at Roselawn Cemetery with Joe Teal officiating. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Childrenโ€™s Home in Decatur.

Survivors: Father, George B. Hardy of Athens. Sisters, Laurie (Benji) McPhail of Denver, Colorado and Mary (Joe) Bailey of Athens. Brother, Ben (Janice) Hardy of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Mother, Dorothy Hardy. Brother, Tim Hardy.

She left a wonderful Sunday spread for food. Such a welcoming person. I'm grateful to have known her in her last days.
