Marshall Dale Spaits 91 of Athens, passed away Monday,
September 6, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside Service will be Friday September
10, 2021 at 11AM at Roselawn Cemetery with Military Honors with Gerome Hilliard
officiating, No visitation is planned.
He was born April 30, 1930 in
Atlanta, IL, and a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, He was a Korean US
Army Veteran and a retired truck driver.
He is survived by Daughter: Julia
Gardner Wales of Athens, Grandson: Jeremy (Kerrie) Wales of Athens, Great Granddaughter:
Delaney Wales, Great Grandson: Logan Wales, Nephew: Jeff Gilbert, Nieces: Susan
Stumpf,and Janet Gough. He was preceded in death by: Parents: Ruben and
Ella Mae Spaits, Wife: Virginia (Lady Bug) Spaits, Brother: Marvin Spaits, and
Sister: Fonda Wallen.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Athens Animal
Shelter.
The family has requested that MASK be worn at the Graveside Service.
