Barbara Ann Christopher age 87 of Athens passed away
Wednesday at her residence.
Mrs. Christopher was born January 29, 1937 in
Lauderdale County to the late John and Irene Alexander who preceded her in
death.
She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church, and a retired teacher
from Cowart Elementary.
Memorial service will be 4 pm Sunday March 24, 2024 at
Friendship Methodist Church with Steve Dorning and Mike Green officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 3 pm.
Memorials may be made to
Hospice of Limestone County.
Survivors, Daughters, Peggy (Bill) Keyes of
Athens. Lisa (John) Sorrells of Athens. Sisters, Tonna Hargrove and Linda
Alexander of Athens. Brothers, Jerry Alexander of Athens and Jack Alexander of
Monroe, Louisiana. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by her Brother, Bob Alexander.

Saddened by the news of Barbara's death. We attended church together for many years at West Highland Baptist. A gracious, lovely woman of faith. My condolences to Linda and to her children.
