Current Obituaries
Jerry Terry, age 74 of Athens died Monday at his residence.

Mr. Terry was born May 5, 1947 in Limestone County. He was retired from 3M , a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ.

Services will be 1 pm Friday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Ray Hill, Bill Irby and Brian Terry officiating, burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until service at the funeral home.

Survivors. Wife, Judy Gatlin Terry of Athens. Son, Brian Keith ( Dana) Terry of Athens. Grandson, Tyler Keith ( Hayden) Terry of Nashville, Tennessee. Granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth (Chase) Edwards of Hoover, Alabama. Great Grandson, Hudson Edwards.
Brothers, James "Sonny"  (Nancy) Terry of Athens. Joseph "Joe" (Peggy) Terry of Fayetteville, Tennessee. Jimmy (Brenda) Terry of Jefferson City, Missouri. Sister, Kathryn (Jerry) Robinson of Meridianville, Alabama. Several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents, Milton and Katherine Terry. Grandmother, Earline Case. Grandfather, Henry Case.

Pallbearers will be David Blankenship, Tyler Terry, Chase Edwards, Jimmy McNairy, Ray Cox and Dr. Michael Edwards.

Family ask memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Terry family respectfully ask those who attend to please wear a mask.
