George Elwood Blankenship, 47 of Athens, Alabama, died
Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Blankenship was
born December 18, 1974 in Limestone County and he was a Small Engine Mechanic.
There will be a 2pm Graveside Service Friday at Sandlin Cemetery with Tommy
Polk officiating, visitation is from 11:30am until 1:30pm Friday at Spry
Funeral Home in Athens.
Pallbearers will be Larry Copeland, Brandon Matlock,
Johnny McKinney, Jonathan Bates, Logan Bates and Trenton Sampson.
Survivors:
Mother, Janice (David) Webster of Athens. Sister, Melissa (Tommy) Polk of
Athens. Uncles and Aunts: Eddie and Joyce Tucker of Athens, Mickey Haggard of
Nashville, TN and Cathy (Larry) Troup of Taft, TN. Nieces and Nephews. Preceded
in death by: Father, Bobby (Roadrunner) Blankenship.

"Aunt Jo" was a lovely, amazing lady. Always pleasant, considerate, helpful, friendly, and the list goes on. It was a blessing to know her. R.I.P.
