Current Obituaries
Frances Jean Harrison, 75 of Tanner, died Wednesday, March 29th, at her home. The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 1st,
2023, at First Baptist Church Tanner.

Visitation will be Friday, March 31st, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church Tanner. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Frances was born on November 26, 1946, in Moulton, AL. She graduated from Hatton High School in 1965. She was a devoted
member of First Baptist Church Tanner where she spent numerous years serving in the nursery loving on babies and
children on Sunday mornings. She taught third grade at Tanner Primary and Tanner High School for 26 years and often said
that “A teacher was one of the greatest blessings of the Lord.”

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Cecil Randolph, her brother Jimmy Colin
Randolph, and sister Jeanette Brooks.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother (Meme). She was married to her husband (Weldon) for 54 years and devoted to making her grandchildren feel special every time they were together. After retiring she enjoyed travelling and taught herself to play the dulcimer. She also watched the weather very closely and even had the nickname “Frances Satterfield”. She enjoyed being outside watching hummingbirds and listening to her windchimes. She also enjoyed growing and admiring her beautiful flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Weldon Harrison; daughters, Heather Hobbs (Jay), Amy Griffis (Kevin), son, Jarrod Harrison (Lacey); grandchildren, Eli Hobbs (Megan), Alli Griffis, Whit Griffis, Josh Griffis, Hadley Harrison, and Hunter Claire Harrison; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers are Eli Hobbs, Jay Hobbs, Kevin Griffis, Whit Griffis, Yancey Randolph, Britt Randolph, Kelly Randolph, and Shane Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Brooks, Scott Harrison, Ryan Harrison, Jordan Harrison, Ray Harrison, Jake Rutherford, Reid Harrison, Stinson Harrison, and Ridge Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Fund at First Baptist Church Tanner, PO Box 547 Tanner, AL 35671.
