Travis (Bucky) Ray Phillips, 84 of Athens, Alabama, died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his residence, Mr. Phillips was born June 24, 1938 in Lawrence County, Alabama.
He was retired from General Motors, he was an avid Deer Hunter, Fisherman, Cattleman and he was a vegetable Gardner with Tomatoes being his specialty.
There will be a Graveside Service 1PM Wednesday at Roselawn Cemetery with Kasey Harbin officiating. No visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.
Pallbearers will be Ethon Felton, Donald Kidd, Tim Springer, David Ledford, Charlie Tucker and Danny McCaig.
Survivors: Daughters, Angie Phillips of Athens and Kim Ashford (Chris) of Athens. Fur Baby: Little Girl. Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents: John and Fannie Phillips. Wife: Peggy McMullins Phillips. Daughter, Faith Phillips. Brothers, Charlie, Tom, J.D. and Rayburn Phillips. Sisters, Mavis Beckham and Julia Carter.
Memorials may be made
to Hospice of Limestone County.

So sorry to hear about bucky ,he was such a great guy, always friendly to everyone. I worked with bucky at. Monsanto & Delphi. Our prayers are with the family at this time for comfort &strength. 55q21q
