Salvador Ramond Ramirez, 74 of Athens, Alabama, died Saturday, April 22, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Ramirez was born June 21, 1948 in El Paso, Texas, he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, he was retired U.S. Army of 22 years and he was retired from Diebold Corporation.
Services will be 1pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Dan Hughes officiating, burial in Thatch-Mann Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation is Thursday from 6pm until 8pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be George Ramirez, George Ramirez Jr., Danny Vaquez, Jr. Vaquez, Jose Vaquez and Sam Garza.
Survivors: Wife, Debra Poteet Ramirez. Son, Daniel Ramirez. Brothers, George Ramirez and Joe Ramirez Jr. Sisters, Jennie Moody and Lorraine Padilla. Grandson, Christian Ramirez. Sister-in-laws, Pam Lewis and Lisa Ramirez. Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents, Joe & Ernestine Ramirez. Sister, Marie E. Wall. In-laws, Hector W. Poteete and Ethel Poteete.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Kidney Dialysis Association.
