Ruth Nash Butler, August 12, 1940, age 83, of Athens,
Al passed away on Saturday, April, 20, 2024 at her daughter’s home in
Muscadine, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Nash and Lila
Goode Nash; brothers, R.C., Bill, Orville, Johnny, and Tommy; sisters,
Christine, Ethel, Edna and Geneva.
She is survived by her sister Jewel Johnson
(Leon); children Jay Keith Butler (Djuana), Belinda Anderson (Richard) and Gabe
Pres Butler; grandchildren, Drae Underwood, Sam Underwood (Tina), Josh Campbell
(Fusae), Zach Campbell (Shae) and Malena Langley ( William), Rachael Brooks
(Joel), and Paul Anderson; great grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, Skylar, Tyler,
Hunter, Cove, Charlie Beth, Tiyana, Canan, Zoey Grace, Scarlett, Drew, Tyler,
Landon, Noah and Joseph and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in
Limestone County and a graduate of Clements High School class of 1958 and a
graduate of Kerr Business College where she studied Business. She retired from
North Alabama Primary Care and was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She loved
spending time with family, music, and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Services will
be 2:30PM Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Pat Lawrence
officiating, burial in Dement Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday 1Pm until
2:30Pm at Spry Funeral Home.
