Mary Stewart Roberts, age 85 of Athens died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Roberts was born July 30, 1934 in Limestone County, she was a homemaker, and a faithful active member of Westview church of Christ. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Tanner homemakers club, where she received homemaker of the year. She was a member of the Athens Limestone ARC. She and late husband Bill loved to camp and horseback ride, she loved supporting her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in their many activities.
Services will be 2 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Kasey Harbin, Tony Andrews and Donnie Miller officiating, burial will follow in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 - 9 pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be, Jeff Hennessee, Tracy Miller, Jason Hennessee, William Miller, Mike Pressnell and Keith Jadus. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jeremy Crowe, Hayden Hennessee, Connell Hennessee. The family request memorial donations to be made to the Birdie Thornton Center.
Survivors include, Daughters, Susan (Randy) Crowe of Athens. Sandra (Anthony) Hennessee of Athens. Stephanie (Steve) Miller of Madison. Grandchildren, Michelle (Keith) Jadus of Arlington, Virginia. Jeremy Crowe of Athens. Jason (Amber) Hennessee of Athens. Olivia Miller of Madison. William Miller of Madison. Great Grandsons. Hayden Hennessee and Connell Hennessee. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruel and Bettie Stewart. Husband, William F. (Bill) Roberts. Spry Funeral Home, Athens, Alabama is assisting the Roberts family.
