Margaret Adams Pettey, 69 of Athens,
died Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mrs. Pettey was
born September 4, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was a member of Lindsay
Lane Baptist Church. She was retired from CSC and a graduate of Fair Park High
School in Shreveport, Louisiana.
A Memorial Services will be 3pm Sunday at Spry
Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Pugh officiating. Visitation is from 1pm until
service Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors: Daughter, Michele (Philip)
Tugwell of Boisser City, Louisiana; Son, Michael (Denise) Pettey of Athens,
Grandsons, Carter Pettey, Cade Pettey, Connor Tugwell and Collin Tugwell;
Sisters, Elizabeth (Craig) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado. and Ellen (Ed)
Turner of Madison, AL.; One Aunt, One Uncle, Four Nieces, Two Great Nieces,
Four Great Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Denzil and Dorothy Huckabee,
Sister, Martha Huckabee Starling, Nephew, Jeffrey Turner. Memorials may be made
to Gideon’s International or Missions at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.

I have many fond memories of Mrs Sisson while we were living next to you all in the old neighborhood. She was always so sweet to me and I remember she made good cookies too.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. But I know that Heaven is rejoicing to welcome her home... please know that you will remain in our prayers.
