Daphne Lee Watkins, 55 of Athens, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mrs. Watkins was born December 20, 1963 in Limestone County. She was a member of West Highland Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held later.

Survivors: Daughter, Rachel (Jordan Lee) Sides of Decatur; Sons, James Bradley (Chrystal) Watkins of Lexington and Adam Lee Watkins of Athens; Grandchildren, Cameron Watkins, Kayla Watkins and Caleb Watkins; Sister, Michelle Carroll of Ardmore, AL; Aunts, Tereasa Lynn Holt of Athens and Sherry Eubanks of Athens; Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Husband, James Ray Watkins, Father, Walter Lee McConnell, Mother, Barbara Jean McConnell, Brothers, Dewey McConnell and Wayne Allen McConnell.
