Laura Naves, 87 of Athens, Alabama, died Saturday,
February 13, 2021 at UAB in Birmingham.
Services will be 1pm Saturday at First
Church of Athens with Dr. Rick Craft and Bruce Johnson officiating, burial in Antioch
Cemetery.
Visitation is from 12noon until 1pm Saturday at First Church.
Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing.
Mrs. Naves was born November 18, 1933
in Limestone County, she was a member of First Church of Athens and she was
retired from Athens Middle School Cafeteria.
Survivors: Sons: Richie Naves of
Athens and Robert Naves of Athens; Daughter: Connie Oberneder of Trussville,
AL; Brother: Elmer Dale Putman of Athens; Sisters: Betty Rice of Athens,
Barbara Bennett of Athens, Marcia Putman of Athens, Kay Rice of Athens and
Zebbra Green of Elkmont; Seven Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Husband: Robert Naves; Daughter: Cynthia Naves; Five
Sisters.
