John Eugene Willis, 86 of Athens,
Alabama, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Limestone Health Facility.
There will
be a 12noon Graveside Service Saturday at Sardis Springs Cemetery with Charles
Simmons officiating.
No visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home is directing.
Mr. Willis was born May 19, 1934 in Limestone County. Mr. Willis was a member
and former Deacon of Poplar Creek Baptist Church, he was a US Navy Veteran and
he was retired from Fluordaniel in Decatur.
Survivors: Wife: Willodean (Dean)
Willis of Athens; Sons: Bobby Willis of Decatur and Horace Willis of Decatur;
Grandchildren: Marissa Pospy, Morgan Willis, Shawn Flowers and Shane
Flowers.
Preceded in death by: Son: John David Willis; Sister: Ann
Draper; Brothers: Jerry and Buford Willis.
