JoAnn Gilbert age 76 of Athens passed away Wednesday at Limestone Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Gilbert was born September 7, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama. She was a member of Market Street church of Christ where she was a former secretary in the church office.
Mrs. Gilbert donated her body to medical research to continue her spirit of giving.
A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date. Donations may be made to Market Street church of Christ.
Survivors include her Son, Michael (Sarah) Gilbert of Athens. Beloved Granddaughters, Bella Gilbert and Abi Gilbert. Brother, Tim (Melia) Collier of Athens. Sister In Law, Joanne (Rene) Hood of Athens. Brother In Law, Nelson (Betsy) Gilbert of Colorado. Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sarah Collier. Husband, Marty Gilbert.
