James (Jim) Marcus Shew, age 90 of
Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Shew was
born December 8, 1929 in Centre, Alabama. He was a member of First United
Methodist Church in Athens and retired from the Army Missile Command. He was an
Army Veteran of the Korean he was a Purple Heart Recipient.
There will be
11am Graveside Service Tuesday June 9, 2020 at Roselawn Cemetery with Joel Teal
and Dr. Kenny Baskins officiating.
Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Nancy. Daughter,
Lori Shew (Rob) Lott. Son-in-Law, Rodney Ford. Grandson, Nathan Ford (Alex).
Granddaughters, Caroline Ford, Campbell Lott and Carson Lott. Great
Grandchildren, River Ford and Jude Ford. Brother, Ray (Gail) Shew.
Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law, Bob and Shirley Menzies. Preceded in death
by: Parents, J.P. and Josephine Shew. Daughter, Kelly Ann Shew Ford.
