Mrs. Helen Alberta Legg Carter, 90 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her residence.
There will be a 3pm Graveside Service Tuesday at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Roy McMahan officiating.
Visitation is from 1pm until 2:45pm Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carter was born February 24, 1930 in Limestone County, she was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ. Owner and operator of Carter’s Trailer Park for 54 years.
Survived by and all from Athens. Son: Charles Michael “Mike” Carter (Peggy; Daughter: Linda Diann Thomas (Wayne); Son: Danny Joe Carter (Faye); Daughter: Wendy Mechelle Robertson; Sister: Ellen Schrimsher (Robert); Sister: Peggy Cox (David); Twelve Grandchildren; Twenty Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers
will be Dustin Carter, Brian Thomas, David Brewer, Bradley Carter, Randy Carter
and Jesse Robertson. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Pendergrass, Bobby Brewer,
Robb Robison and Adam Simpson.
Proceeded in death by and all from Athens: Mother: Zada Alberta Nelson Legg; Father: Elmer Clement Legg; Husband: Charles Darby Carter, Son: Ricky Allen Carter;
Grandson: Chad Dwayne Thomas.

Dear Lea, Gary and I are at a loss as to what to say during this time. We love both you and Dottie. I know your heart is hurting, loss is hard enough... losing someone that is such a deep part of us is more difficult than words can explain. We are thinking of you, I know that she is in the presence of Christ and is already busy, just as she was busy here. We love you Lea, please reach out whenever you want to, anytime....day or night.
