Frances Jewel Weith of Athens, Alabama died peacefully in her
sleep May 16, 2022, at 92 years of age.
Born Frances Jewel Lovell July 1, 1929,
in Limestone County, she was a member of the Elgin Hills Church of
Christ.
There will be an 11:00 a.m. graveside service Thursday at the
Athens City Cemetery with Tony Hudson officiating. Spry Funeral Home is
directing the services, and no visitation is planned.
The pallbearers will be
Roland Romine, Gene Johnson, Will Meadows, Tony Hudson, Tommy Hudson, and
Charles Shoemaker.
Frances is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Hudson (Tony) of
Elgin, Alabama and Christe Small (David) of Sheridan, Arkansas, by five
grandchildren Scott Small, Katelyn Meadows, Brooks and Clint Weith, and Kira
Hubanks, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lenton and Alvie Lovell,
her husband of 19 years Joe Weith, her son Ronnie Joe Weith, and by her seven
siblings including three brothers Mack, Floyd, and Don Lovell, and four sisters
Hattie Baucom, Katherine Ferguson, Opal Romine, and Christine Hudson.
