Elvie Clarest Wilson Coffman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2019 at the age of 96 at the NHC Maury Regional in Columbia, Tennessee.

Elvie was born to Grover Cleveland (Cleve) Wilson and Carrie (Velma) Wilson on February 27, 1923. Elvie spent her youth in Limestone County, Alabama and graduated from Limestone County High School in May 1941. Elvie married James (J.C.) Charlie Coffman on April 12, 1947 who preceded her in death on June 16, 1995 after forty eight years of marriage. After living in Alabama, Florida, and Phoenix, Arizona Elvie and J.C. returned to Columbia, Tennessee where Elvie eventually settled to be with her son and daughter. Elvie was a member of Northview Church of Christ in Columbia, Tennessee. Elvie loved her Bible, her Lord, her church family and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Coffman, four sisters Cora Cleveland, Maude Keate, Mae Belle Buckelew and Clara Wilson. Elvie is survived by her daughter Sherry Coffman Dimaio (Randy) Drane. Son Stanley "Stan" (Mary) Coffman. Sister, Willena (John) Woodard. Two Grandchildren, April Dimaio (Fred) Sargeson of Helena, Montana and Tiffany Dimaio of Avondale, Arizona.Six Great Grandchildren, and Step Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and her special Grand Dog Scout.

Funeral services will be conducted at Spry Funeral Home located at 804 Highway 72 West Athens, AL on Monday July 22, 2019 at 3 PM with Brother Jeremy Butt officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.  

Pallbearers will be, Randy Drane, Stan Coffman, Garry Patterson, Deryl Clem, Ronnie Thorne, and Steve Goodin.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Maury Regional NHC in Columbia, Tennessee and Hospice Compassus of Columbia, Tennessee. Elvie will be laid to rest with her beloved Husband at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Inc. at 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
