Billy Griffin age 92 of Athens died Tuesday June 4, 2019 at
his residence.
Mr. Griffin was born October 1, 1926 in Limestone County,
retired from Redstone Arsenal, and was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Griffin
was a avid beagler and a member of the Cullman Beagle Club.Mr. Griffin was a
loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He enjoyed listening to, and
watching the Atlanta Braves for over fifty years.
Services will be 11 am Saturday in the chapel of Spry
Funeral Home with Cecil Ryland and Mike Green officiating. Burial will be in
Limestone Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday
from 9 am until service time at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be, Brad
Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Orion Adams, William Ming, Talbot Elkins, and Carl
McLemore.
Survivors include, Sons, Ronnie (MIke) Griffin of Kansas
City, Missouri. Tim (Sue) Griffin of Athens. Mark (Terri) Griffin of Athens.
Grandchildren, Brad (Brandi) Griffin of Athens. Ryan (Erica) Griffin of Athens.
Rebecca (Orion) Adams of Rochester, New York. Breanne (William) Ming of Athens.
Great Gradchildren, Lexi Griffin, Braxton Griffin, Jasper Griffin, and Gunner
Griffin. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by,
Parents, Levi and Ozell Griffin, and all eleven of his Brothers and Sisters.
Wife, Catherine McLemore Griffin, and Granddaughter, Catherine Dianne Griffin.
Family request donations to be made to Round Island Baptist Church.

To Alison &Alyssa and The Perry Family: I was a teahers aide for your Mother at Tanner. I really thought a lot of your Mom.She was a Wonderful and Sweet and Caring person about her students. She will be missed so much.I was in shock when I found out she passed.My thoughts and prayers are with you. Shelia Aldridge Green
