Barbara Clark Chandler, 89 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Chandler was born November 12, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas, she was a member of Marion Street Church of Christ in Athens. She was a retired Registered Nurse.
Services will be held at 6pm on Thursday, October 5 at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. Burial will be held later in Sanderson, Texas.
Survivors: Daughter, Debra James of Athens. Son, Leslie Gene Chandler II of Tucson, AZ. Sister, Beth Smith of Ft. Collins, CO. Grandchildren: Erin James Wright, Nathan James, Seth James, Jared James, Joshua Chandler, Sarah Chandler Samples, Riley Chandler, Crista Chandler Shabazz and Jeremy Chandler. Great Grandchildren: Dylan Wright, Charlize Wright, Asher James Wright, Benjamin James, Elijah James, Makenzie James, Kate James, Chandler James, Wiley Moore, Shelby Moore, Ada Cate Samples, Evan Roman, Ava Simmons, Ezequiel Shabazz, Zaqariah Shabazz, and Hezeqiah Shabazz.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Ruel and Gladys Clark. Husband, Gene Chandler. Son, Dewayne Clark Chandler. Brother, James Clark.
