Martha Ann Gossett, 78 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Services will be 2pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL.
Visitation is from 6pm until 8pm Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gossett was born August 5, 1942 in Limestone County and she attended Nebo Community Church.
Survivors: Husband: Robert Lee Gossett of Athens; Son: Troy Cannon of Hartselle; Daughter: Rachel Goodwin of Trinity; Step-sons: Travis Gossett of Decatur, Joe Gossett of Decatur and Kevin Gossett of Athens; Step-Daughter: Regina Mabrey of Falkville, AL; Brothers: Eugene Ferguson of Athens and Herbert Ferguson of Decatur; Sister: Sue Swann of North Carolina; Twelve Grandchildren; Four Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Daughter: Donna Cannon, Sister: Evelyn Winsett; Step-son: Jamie Gossett; Brothers: James Ferguson, David Ferguson and Johnny Ferguson.

Claire and I are so sorry for you and your family loss of wife Debbie she was the most strong will women that we had ever meet.she was alway smiling laughing and having a good time any time you would see her.she was the most strong will women we have ever been around .I wish we had been around more the last few years may be we would have had a better relationship.we have been friends for a lot of years and again so sorry for your loss a especially at the holiday season . we are not sending flowers making a donation of $250.00 to her fund.
