In Loving Memory of Travis Alex Smith

Travis Alex Smith was born on August 27, 1968 to Dimple Gail White
Smith and Harold Lloyd Smith. Travis passed away peacefully on
Friday, July 11, 2025 with his family by his side.
Travis was a very compassionate soul whose kindness, creativity
touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He
loved his family deeply and was always there for them regardless of
the occasion or need.

Travis was preceded in death by his loving parents known as mama
and daddy, grandma & grandpa. Grandparents, James Houston and
Mary Alice Smith and Alex P. and Leeta Bell Slaton White. His close
Uncle and Aunt Paul Sr. and Sarah Smith where Travis spent a lot of
time as a child playing with sweet cousin Mona.

Travis is survived by his loving sister, Terri Preston (Chris) who was his
closest/dearest friend, always willing to be by his side regardless of
the event or situation and his caretaker in his days of sickness.
Travis’ most admired survivors who were more like siblings, are his
beloved Niece, Brandy Fleming Davis (Chad), his Nephews, Zachary
Travis Fleming (Leigh Ann), William Christopher Preston (Jenn), and
Braden Lloyd Preston (Anna Marie). Travis’ most treasured title was
“Uncle Travis” by his great nieces and nephews whom he loved
endlessly from oldest to youngest are Kyle Laine Davis (Emily), Jenna
Faye Davis Godwin (Dalin), Katelyn Gail Davis, Walker Zachary
Fleming, Peyton Fisher Preston, Mary Ella Fleming, Houston William
Preston, Waylon Lee Preston, Demi Elizabeth Preston and Eden Josie
Preston. Travis is also survived by a brother, Tim Smith (David), and a
sister Teresa Brown.

We are going to miss Travis terribly but are confident in knowing that
we will see him again in heaven. Until then, we will see him looking at
our landscaping, wedding photos, birthday parties, All holidays that
he immaculately decorated for him and our family to enjoy.

Graveside services will be Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 6 PM at Dement Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
