MARY ITYLEAN MCBAY WHITE was
born June 21, 1935 in Limestone County, Alabama to Sammie Hughes McBay and Alma Icy Cooley McBay. She passed away at home on December 5, 2024 at the age of 89. She was a 1952 graduate of Clements High School and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She devoted her life to her husband and family as a godly wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She and her husband, Bobby Ray
White, enjoyed their lives together for 71 years in loving marriage.
Services will be 2PM Sunday at
Fairview Baptist Church with burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens. Visitation
is Sunday 1PM until 2PM at the Church. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is
directing.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kay Martinez and her
husband Ben; her son Ronnie Ray White and his wife Susan; her grandchildren, Sharlene Martinez Brown (Jimmy), Benji Martinez (Emily), Mary Jean White Hawkes (Patrick), Colin White (Beth), Michael Martinez, Beverly Martinez, and Esther Martinez; her great grandchildren, Harley Brown Self (Justin), Cierra Brown, Savannah Brown Beers (Noah), Julianna Brown, Malia Martinez, Parker Hawkes, Molly Hawkes and Chris White; and her great-great grandchildren Atlas Starnes and Ila Starnes.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Sammie Hughes McBay and Alma Icy Cooley McBay; one sister, Nina Adaline McBay Clark; and six brothers, Leon Coy McBay, Buford Lavon McBay, Ben Tyler McBay, Clifford Eugene McBay, William Glenn McBay and James Kenneth McBay.
She lived a very blessed humble life, surrounded by a family that
dearly loved, idolized and respected her. Her presence will be missed, but she will forever live joyfully in all of our hearts.
