Larry Michael Blakely, 76 of Decatur, Alabama, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at his residence.

Services will be 2PM Monday at Spry Funeral home Chapel in Athens with Chris Pressnell officiating, burial in Sandlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday 12noon until service at Spry Funeral home.

Mr. Blakey was born March 31, 1948 in Limestone County, he was a member of Flint Church of Christ in Decatur and he was retired from Athens Limestone Hospital.

Survivors: Brother: Reggie Blakely of Decatur; Sister: Janet Hudson of Hazel Green, AL.

Preceded in death by: Parents: James Ervin Blakely and Erma Adams Blakely. Brother: Steve Blakely.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Gabe was a wonderful man. I loved to hear him pick his guitar and sing. He had an amazing voice! Now he's singing with the angels! I pray that God wraps his arms around you all and gives you the strength and comfort to get through this difficult time .
