Julian Marks Owens, 78 of Athens, Alabama, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Owens was born February 14, 1942 in Limestone County, he was a member, Deacon and Song leader at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ. He was owner/operator of Row Manufacturing.  

Services will be 2:30pm Friday at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ with Odis Duncan, Chris Kemp and Dickie White officiating, burial in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12noon until service Friday at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ. Spry Funeral Home is directing.

Pallbearers will be Jason Black, Landon Kyle, Cameron Wright, Brandon Southard, Justin Goodwin, Don Wright, Joe Bates and Mike Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers are Preston Reynold, Johnny Hannah, Ed Rezach, Elders at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, Dickie White, Brad Garner, and Marty Griffin. Roger Patrick is a Heavenly Honorary Pallbearer.

Survivors: Wife, Linda Wright Owens of Athens. Children, Melissa Owens (Derrick) McGlocklin of Athens, Mark Julian (Philana) Owens of Athens and Meagon Owens (John) Rezach of Athens. Grandchildren, Jessica McGlocklin Wright, Victoria Owens Southard, Victor Niculos Owens, Kristen McGlocklin Kyle, Trey Owen Rezach, Aimy Lynn Owens, Seth Morgan Rezach and Alexa Blair Rezach, Great Granddaughter, Spencer Kate Owens, due in March. Great Granddaughter, Paxton Wright. Sisters, Virginia Woodall of Decatur, Tillie Daniel of Athens, Carol Clem of Athens, Hope Williams of Huntsville and Sue Smith of Elkmont. Brothers, Mike Owens of Elkmont and Don Owens of Wilsonville, AL. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Lawrence and Irma Owens. Brothers, David Owens and Eddie Owens. Sister, Sandra Davis.
