Glenn Whitt - Spry Funeral Home

 

Glenn Whitt, age 91 of Athens passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019 at home. He was born in Athens to Martin Luther and Effie Whitt. He was a Navy veteran and brick mason and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and gardening.

 

Services will be 2 PM Friday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Mark Whitt officiating. Visitation Friday from 12 noon until 1:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with full military honors.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Whitt was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth, brothers, Clyde, Gilbert, Floyd, Houston, and Marvin, and daughter in law Suzie.

 

Survivors include his wife of 70 years Maebell, sons, Gary, Ray (Lisa), and Russell. Grandchildren, Jaclyn, Blair, Tiffany, Selena (Sean), Stewart (Lauren), Craig (Lindsey), and great grandsons, Kadin and Jackson. Brothers, Don and Paul.
