George Perry Cooper, 64 of Athens, Alabama, died
Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Services will be 2pm
Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Gary Enfinger and Keith Tuberfield
officiating with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation is from 12noon until
service Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Brown, Larry
Thrasher, Larry Jolly, Danny Wood, Lee Hanks, Trey Hughes, Jay Glasgow and Will
Ferguson. Honorary Pallbearers are Friends and Employees of Flanagan Lumber
Company.
Mr. Cooper was born December 10, 1956 in Limestone County, he was a
member of First Baptist Church in Tanner and he was employee of Flanagan Lumber
Company in Athens.
Survivors: Wife: Lisa W. Cooper of Athens; Daughter: Katie
Malott and husband Mitch of Athens.

Skip and I are so saddened to hear of Goober's passing. I am jealous of the angels who are welcoming him home. He was a bright light in so many lives here on Earth so I am quite certain that he is shining brightly in Heaven. God bless and comfort y'all as you walk your new journey.
