It is with profound sadness that we announce the
passing of Gary Wayne McBay, aged 73, who passed away peacefully on September
25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife
of 46 years, Linda, with whom he shared a life full of love and cherished
memories.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Edward
McBay. He is survived by his children, Brandon McBay (Julie) and Whitney Wood
(Clint), as well as his beloved grandchildren, Trenton and Trevor Wood, who
affectionately called him Paw-Paw. He is also survived by his mother, Helen
Hutchens; brother, Rickie McBay; and sisters, Patsy Shields and Peggy
Pressnell.
Wayne had a special love for animals and a remarkable
ability to connect with them. He enjoyed staying busy, always working on
projects around his own home and lending a hand to his children whenever
needed.
A celebration of Wayne's life will take place on
September 29, 2024, at Spry's Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
