Mrs.
Evelyn Oceal King, born on July 12th 1930 passed from this life on
March 3rd, 2021 at the age of 90.
The
funeral service will be held at Spry Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday March 6th
at 12 PM. Please note that the chapel doors will not open until noon. Dwight
Ridinger andJoe Curtis will be speakers. Seven
Mile Post Praise Team and Keith McBay will provide the music. Neal Baker and
Keith Davis will lead in prayer.
Given
today’s circumstances, the family requests that mask be worn and space
distancing observed. There will be no visitation and no graveside service.
Mrs.
King known to many as “Aunt Oceal”, was born in Limestone County and attended
Seven Mile Post Road, Mt Carmel, and Oakland Churches of Christ. She retired
from Chesebrough Ponds. Oceal was known for her caring, encouragement, and
inspiration to others. She Loved Immensely and was Loved Greatly. She was also
known as an outstanding cook (especially her Caramel cake), her sense of humor,
hard work, and resilience.
Mrs.
King Was preceded in death by her husband Roy (Bud) King, son Danny King, and
parents Grady & Lila Pugh.
Survivors
include daughter Kay Cogley, son Elston King (Tammie), grandsons Joshua King
and Caleb King (Kayla), granddaughter Ellery King, daughter-in-law Ann King,
and many Nieces and Nephews.
