Elizabeth Irene Stanfield, age 77 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mrs. Stanfield was born August 9, 1942 in Cullman County, Alabama, she was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church and she was retired from Madison County 911 after for 29 years.

Services will be 2pm Sunday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, with Doug Rayburn, Frankie Murphy and Joe Nuss officiating, burial in New Oakland Cemetery, visitation is from 6-9pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Campbell, Daniel Cobb, James Rector, Andy McMillan, John O’Neill and Christain Rector.

Survivors: Daughters, Janet Campbell and husband Curtis of Athens, Audrey McMillan of Madison and Amy O’Neill and husband John of Farmington Hill, Michigan; Grandchildren, Brittany (James) Rector, Daniel (Jennifer) Cobb and Amber McMillan; Great Grandchildren, Christain Rector, Jacob Rector, Jonie Rector, Raylan Rector, Daysen Cobb and Brylee Cobb, Brothers, Dwight (Dianna) Rayburn of Athens and Michael Rayburn of Tyler Texas, Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Hampton and Lennie Mae Rayburn, Husband, Roy Hugh Stanfield, Sisters, Louise Maze, Alene Swann, Edna Morgan, and Inez Nuss. Brothers, Archie Rayburn, R. T. Rayburn and David Rayburn.
