DeVerle Bauer age 91, of Athens, Alabama, died
Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Bauer was born July 23, 1930 in
Limestone County, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, he was a U.S.
Airforce Korean Veteran and he was a member of the Athens Masonic Lodge.
Services will be 2pm Sunday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Joel
Carwile officiating with burial in Germantown Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation is from 12:30pm until service Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.
Honorary
Pallbearers will be Kirk Bauer, Emilee Bauer, Fred Johnson and Men’s Adult
Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife of 68 years,
Robbie Bauer of Athens. Sons, Steve (Kathy) Bauer of Athens and Jack (JoAnn)
Bauer of Athens. Grandchildren, Kirk Bauer of Athens and Emilee Bauer of
Nashville, TN. Great Grandchildren, Lila Bauer and Blakely Bauer. Several
Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Paul and Ruby Bauer.
Grandson, Hunter Bauer. Brother, Lamar Bauer.
Memorials may be made to Hospice
of Limestone County or Hunter Bauer Scholarship Fund.
