Betty Jean Perry, 78 of Athens, died Monday, June 10, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Perry was born October 13, 1940 in Pikeville, Tennessee. She was a member of Tanner Church of Christ and a retired Teacher at Tanner High School.

Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice.

Services will be 11am Thursday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Hall and Charles Thompson officiating, burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens, visitation is from 6-9pm Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Travis Fletcher, Kevin McMullins, Jackson McKee, Brian McKee, Jacob Greene, Brad Greene, Kurt Bates, Tommy White. Elders & Deacons at Tanner Church of Christ will be Honorary Pallbearers.

Survivors: Mother: Hazel Allison of Athens, Daughters: Alison (Tim) Wooten of Athens and Alyssa (Scott) Sandberg of Athens, Grandchildren: Megan McLemore, Lauren McKleroy, Hallie Sandberg, Great Grandchildren: Bryson Lovell and Kinsley McLemore, several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Father: Hugh Allison, Husband: John Wade Perry, Daughter: Beth Ann Perry. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.

To Alison &Alyssa and The Perry Family: I was a teahers aide for your Mother at Tanner. I really thought a lot of your Mom.She was a Wonderful and Sweet and Caring person about her students. She will be missed so much.I was in shock when I found out she passed.My thoughts and prayers are with you. Shelia Aldridge Green
