William Donald Jacobs, age 88, of Lester died February 9,
2026 at Athens Limestone Hospital. He was born December 27, 1937 to William
Loice Jacobs and Martha Irene (Davis) Jacobs in Limestone County. He was a
member of the church of Christ and a board member of the West Limestone
Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his son, William Thomas Jacobs of
Hazel Green, three daughters, Barbara Tarpley of Lester, Donna Burrow of
Lester, and Sharon Grisham of Elkmont, sisters, Chloe Willis of Lester and Shirley
Long of Lester, as well as nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Jacobs.
Mr. Jacobs will lie in state prior to services on Friday,
February 13th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hester's Chapel church of Christ in
Lester.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. at Hester's Chapel church of
Christ officiated by Richard Durham with interment following at Hester's
Cemetery.
