Paul
Fain Webb passed away peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, he
was surrounded by his family. He was a loving and caring man who was loved by
his family and friends. He was born on June 4, 1935 to Sarah Ann Blackburn Webb
and James Porter Webb in Limestone County Alabama, where he lived all of his
life. He was one of 13 children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy
Brown Webb, his parents, his sisters Marjorie May, Margaret Butler, Bernice
Johnson, brothers Walter Webb, Neeley Webb, Earnest Webb, Uyless Webb, Carlos
Webb, James (Buddy) Webb, Allison Webb, and Royce Webb, grandson in-law Michael
Shockley. He is survived by his son John Paul “Johnny” Webb, daughter Pam Gates
(Shawn), daughter Jennifer Hodges (Ryan), grandson Cason Marks (Elizabeth),
granddaughter Sydney Shockley, granddaughter Lindsay Hodges, great grand
children Ava White, Dixie Shockley, Warner Marks, Harper Shockley, Sadie Marks,
one sister Jeannette Stinnett, sister in-laws Martha Power, Betty Mahan and
many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There
will be a 11am graveside service Thursday at Limestone Memorial Gardens in
Athens, AL with Joel Carwile officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn Gates, Ryan
Hodges, Cason Marks, Joel Carwile and Roger Hodges. Honorary pallbearer will be
Warner Marks. No visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home of Athens, AL is
directing.
