Oneta Faye Lindsay age 83 of Athens passed away Wednesday at her
residence. She was born April 24, 1942 in Limestone County, a homemaker and a
member of Carriger church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Carol
(Derek) Romine and Angel (John) Merriman. Son, David (Karla) Lindsay.
Grandchildren, Jasmine Buckelew, Hayden Romine, Nicole Lindsay and Caitlyn
Merriman. Four Great Grandchildren. Sister In Laws, Judy Blakely and Sherry
Scarboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmette & Christine Blakely.
Husband, James Lindsay and Brother, Roy Blakely. Services will be 2 pm
Thursday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in
Elkriver Mills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 noon
until service. Pallbearers will be Elias Lindsay, Aubrey Todd, Chuck Lietch,
Hayden Romine, Ethan Buckelew and Kip Lindsay. Honorary pallbearers will be
Ricky Berzette and Clifton Blakey. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of
Limestone County.
