Helen Juanita Andrews of Nashville, Tennessee passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born in Athens, Alabama to Thomas and Lela Andrews. She was 76 years old. Helen was known for her love of life, an imaginative spirit, and her love for Christ. She was a member of Owens Chapel Church of Christ in Nashville. Helen spent her life as a servant of God, spreading His love and ministering to all; she knew no stranger. Her love of ministry took her on many mission trips to Saratov and Samara Russia, and central Scotland. She attended David Lipscomb University, where she developed a love for opera and classical music. Helen had the voice of an angel, and loved to sing. She would go on to use her voice for a different purpose at World Christian Broadcasting. In early 2000, she was the founder of Fresh Approach Ministries where she ministered to Nashville’s homeless, women in prison, children in need, and gave Christian counseling. Helen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings William Andrews (Eleanor) of Wells, Maine; Philip Andrews of Franklin, Tennessee; Judith Brannock of Athens, Alabama; Susan Bailey (Stephen) of Madison, Alabama; and Kimberly Booth (Ben) of Guntersville, Alabama; nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 14 at Spry’s Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12 noon immediately followed by a service.
