Bobbie Nell Cates, 95 of Decatur, Alabama, died Monday, September 15, 2025 in Decatur. There will be a 11am Graveside Service Saturday at Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, AL with Bill Barlow officiating. No Visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing. Mrs. Cates was born December 16, 1929 in Lauderdale County, she was a member of Flint Baptist Church in Decatur. Survivors: Daughters: Linda Cates James of Decatur, Judith Cates Moore of Decatur and Donna Cates Auen of Decatur; Grandchildren: Penny Boger Hatfield, Kristin Boger Londress, April Cole Corey, Lindsey Moore Landrith, Heather Smithey Jones and Hannah Smithey Jones. Eight Great Grandchildren.
