Billy
Wayne Lovell, age 85, of Elkmont died at his residence on February 9, 2026. He
was a member of the Tri State Carpenters Local and a member of the Salem
Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Gregory Wayne Lovell of
Lester, his daughters, Sabrina Yeates of Elkmont, Tamela Pettus of Athens, and
Amy Threadgill of Carrollton, Georgia, eleven grandchildren, and ten great
grandchildren. Preceded in death by two grandsons.
There
will be a visitation Tuesday, February 10th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Spry
Funeral Home of Athens. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February
11th at Spry Chapel officiated by Donald Terry. Interment will follow at New
Salem Cemetery.
