Thomas
Calvin Stanford, age 82, of Lester died April 5, 2026, at his home. He was born
April 10, 1943, to Mason and Mildred Stanford. Mr. Stanford was a member of the
church of Christ and retired from 3M in Decatur.
Mr. Stanford is survived
by his three sons, Steve (Sally) Stanford of Athens, Joey (Ashley) Russell of
Lester, and Andrew MacKenzie of Athens, his daughter, Mary Ward of Lester,
three brothers, Dennis Stanford of Minor Hill, Alvin Stanford of Lester, and
Davey Stanford of Athens, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his wife, Cindy Stanford, and brother, Danny Stanford.
There will be a
visitation Thursday, April 9th from 1:00 p.m. to service time at Hester's
Chapel church of Christ in Lester, Alabama. Services will be 2:00 p.m. at the
church officiated by Chuck Hood with interment following at Hester's Cemetery.
