Sylvia G. Hobbs age 83 of Athens passed away Friday at her
residence. Mrs. Hobbs was born June 29, 1942 in Limestone County, she attended
Lebanon Community Church and was a homemaker . Survivors include her daughter,
Deborah (Dwight) Schrimsher. Sons, Carl (Brenda) Hobbs, Greg (Diane) Hobbs and
David (Cindy) Hobbs. Bonus daughter, Marcy Felder, nine grandchildren, sixteen
great grandchildren two great great grandchildren. Several step grandchildren,
great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sister, Barbara Knight.
several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Parents, Allen & Violet
Hagood. Husband, Charlie Hobbs. Grandson, Greg Hobbs and Great Great Grandson,
Case Hobbs. Services will be 11 am Monday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home
with Terry Lamar officiating, burial will be at Dement Cemetery. Visitation
will be Monday from 9 am until service time. Pallbearers will be Zach
Schrimsher, Josh Bushaw, Bradley Dollar, Brodie Dollar, Daniel Mayfield and
Marty Ledlow. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Hobbs, Alex Dollar, Matthew
Mayfield and Sam Black.
