Stevie
Ray Black of Decatur, age 69, died April 28, 2026 at his home. He was retired
from Goodyear Tire & Rubber and was a U.S. Navy veteran as well as a member
of the Army National Guard. Mr. Black is survived by his wife, Regina
Black of Decatur, two daughters, Candi Black of Decatur and Stephanie Black of
Huntsville, brother, Tommy Black of Elkmont, sisters, Pam Malone, Susan
DeBardinis, and Kim Holt all of Athens, as well as nine grandchildren.
There
will be a visitation Sunday, May 3rd from 12 noon to service time at Spry
Funeral Home followed by services at 2:00 p.m., Sunday the 3rd, in the Spry
Chapel.
Pallbearers
will be Tyler Bates, Ethan Bates, Zyrell Black, Jammie Langford, Jr., James
Richardson, and Jacob Holt. Interment to follow services at Limestone Memorial
Gardens in Athens.
